Decadent Gingerbread Truffles

Have you ever tried a truffle If not, they are the most amazingly sweet tiny desserts you can try! They come in all kinds of flavors, rolled in all different kinds of chocolate. There are salty, and savory, sweet and sticky. The combination of flavors is endless! These little beauties are Gingerbread Truffles. Perfect for the holiday season and so easy to make too! Let me show you how it is done!

First, head over to my Gingerbread cake recipe and whip that up for the truffle filling. If you are pressed for time you can always get a boxed Gingerbread Cake mix. However, I cannot promise they will have as much flavor as the home made cake does.

So, while you have the cake baking in the oven and making your home smell like an amazing professional bakery; lets get started on the filling for the truffles. Here is what you will need!

Ingredients:

  • Ground Ginger

  • Vanilla

  • 1- softened stick of butter

  • 1- 8 oz softened block of full fat cream cheese

  • Powdered Sugar

  • (And the warm cake as soon it is out of the oven!)
