
Keto Friendly Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake

So, I am on this new diet called the Ketogenic diet. It is a low carb, high good fats and moderate protein type diet. But, I LOVE to bake cakes and cookies and all of those yummy comfort foods that scream, “CARBS!!” So, I started work on trying to make tasty treats that would be low carb, low sugar and low to no grains. And lo’and behold! I have worked up some definite failures! But, also have come up with some really great tasking alternatives that do not damper my new journey to wellness. And when it came time for a very dear friend and fellow Ketonian to celebrate his birthday! So, to the kitchen I went, and the outcome was amazing.

Ingredients

2 Cups of Almond flour

1 Cup of cocoa powder

½ Cup coconut flour

1 tsp salt

2 tsp baking soda.

8 eggs room temperature

½ Cup melted butter and ½ Cup cocnut oil melted

1 Cup sugar free chocolate chips
-
1 Cup of Maple syrup ( I try and find the real deal or if I cannot I try the sugar free kind)
