Oil Pulling Tabs

Oil Pulling Tabs

I started having my family "oil pull" using coconut oil. It is a like swishing with mouthwash but with coconut oil! Also, it takes a bit longer. Roughly 15-20 minutes per day. So I decided I would make it easier, less mess and more fun for the kids. And taste a little better too! Follow my easy instructions to make your own Coconut oil chews!

What you will need is some silicon bottom trays like te ones pictured. You can get em in all different shapes and colors, Really good cooking grade 100% Coconut oil, and if you want to add a little freshness a few drops of Essential oil to get that "fresh" feeling in your mouth.  (Also, since I have become more; Essential oil savvy I want everyone to know I do not recommend the "Now" oil pictured above, but I only trust; "Young Living Essential oils for my family.")

In a small sauce pan add in 1 Cup of the coconut oil, and 5-10 drops of Essential oil. On Low/Medium heat gently melt the oils together. Once fully melted take off of the heat.

While in liquid form fill the silicon trays about 3/4 full with the coconut/essential oil mixture.

(You can also make a plain version with no essential oils if you prefer.) Then to speed up the hardening process I put the trays into the fridge for about an hour.

I like to store my coconut oil pulling tabs in mason jars in the refrigerator. If left out and your home gets a little warm they tend to melt.

Chew or let melt in your mouth and swish around for about 15- 20 minutes; once or twice a day, preferably before you eat or drink anything first thing in the morning, and about 4 hours after you have eaten for the last time at night.  Then rinse well with water and then brush and floss your teeth like normal. Drink a full 8 oz glass of water after you are done oil pulling. The oil is supposed to pull out and help detox your body of bacteria, viruses and in many cases when done daily heal death issues such as cavities. It also helps with toothaches!

Give it a try for 30 days, and let me know what you think of "Oil Pulling".
